We process the personal data you give us in an enquiry to take steps you ask for before entering into a contract, and, if we are then instructed, to perform that contract. Where we are not instructed, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to the enquiry you have sent us.
What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form, we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your telephone number, if you choose to give one
- the service you are enquiring about
- the message you send us
- your confirmation that you are happy for us to reply to your enquiry
We do not collect anything beyond what you type into the enquiry form. This site sets no analytics or marketing cookies (see the cookies page).
How your enquiry reaches us
Enquiry emails are handled through Microsoft 365, our email provider, acting as our processor. Microsoft processes the message on our instructions and does not use its content for its own purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep the information you send us for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected for — including, if we act for you, for as long as our professional and regulatory obligations require — and delete or anonymise it once that purpose has ended.
Your rights
You have the right:
- to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- to ask us to correct inaccurate data
- to ask us to erase your data, or restrict how we use it, in the circumstances the law allows
- to object to our processing where we rely on legitimate interest
- to ask for your data in a portable format, where that applies
- to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office
Supervisory authority
The supervisory authority for data protection in the UK is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can contact the ICO at https://ico.org.uk/.
