Disbursements
Some costs are paid to others rather than to us. We pass them on at cost.
- The probate application fee and any extra copies of the grant, paid to the Probate Registry.
- Office of the Public Guardian registration fees for a lasting power of attorney.
- Statutory notices that protect an executor against later claims.
- Bankruptcy searches against beneficiaries before an estate is distributed.
Estate administration
Estate administration is quoted on the facts. The main factors are how many assets the estate holds, whether a property is sold, and whether inheritance tax applies.
